Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of slightlywet.net, including the advertiser app at slightlywet.net/app, and related services (together, "Slightly Wet", "we", "us"). By using Slightly Wet you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Adults only
Slightly Wet is strictly for people aged 18 and over. You may not access the site if you are under 18 or if viewing adult content is unlawful where you are. By entering the site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
3. Who may advertise
- Advertisers must be at least 18 years old and must be independent adults advertising only themselves.
- Profiles appear once the owner publishes them. We may refuse or remove any listing at our discretion.
- No third party, agency, manager or other person may create, pay for or control a listing for someone else. Profiles that appear to be managed by a third party will be removed.
- Advertisers must have the right to publish every photo and every word in their profile, and every photo must be of the advertiser.
- Advertisers are solely responsible for their profile content, their conduct and their compliance with all laws that apply to them.
4. Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for any content or conduct involving a person under 18, coercion, exploitation or human trafficking. We remove such content immediately, preserve relevant records, and report it to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and other competent authorities. Accounts involved will be permanently banned.
5. We are a directory only
Slightly Wet provides an online directory of advertisements. We do not arrange, facilitate, take part in, supervise or receive any payment from any meeting or transaction between visitors and advertisers. Any contact between visitors and advertisers is entirely between them and at their own risk. We do not vet visitors and we do not guarantee the accuracy of any profile, although we act on reports.
6. Members, ratings and comments
- Anyone can rate a profile, without an account. Each browser can leave one rating per profile and change it later.
- Commenting requires a member account.
- Comments must be honest, respectful and lawful. Do not post contact details, personal information about anyone, explicit language, threats, harassment or defamatory statements.
- You may delete your own comments. We may remove any rating or comment at our discretion.
- You may not rate or comment on your own profile, or manipulate ratings in any way.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Slightly Wet to break the law, impersonate anyone, upload content you do not have rights to, scrape or harvest data, send spam, attempt to access accounts or systems that are not yours, or interfere with the service.
8. Reports and content removal
Anyone can report a profile or comment using the report button or by emailing slightywet@gmail.com. We may suspend, edit visibility of, or remove any profile, photo or comment, and suspend or close any account, at any time and without notice, including while a report is investigated. If you appear in content without your consent, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Intellectual property
Advertisers keep ownership of their content and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to host, display and resize it for the purpose of operating the directory. The Slightly Wet name, design and software belong to us.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Slightly Wet is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from any profile or comment, or from any contact or meeting between users. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version date above shows when they last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on the site, and members may be asked to accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
